Wanda Fay Benbow, age 77, of Winchester passed away Friday July 12, 2013 at IU Health Ball Memorial Hosptial in Muncie. She was the daughter of Larry and Bethel (Alderson) Greene and was born on September 19, 1935 in Rowan County, Kentucky.
Wanda graduated from Mount Summit High School. She was a homemaker for most of her life and attended the Church of the Nazarene in Winchester. She also enjoyed collecting stuffed bears, which she had quite a collection of.
Survivors include loving husband of 47 years Larry Benbow of Winchester; sisters Jearaldine Rutherford of Sycamore, IL, Deloris McDougal of Ratliff, KY, Loretta (Jim) Wooters of Fairview, and Charlotte (John) Cox of Ridgeville; step-sons Larry Duane (Sue) Benbow Jr. and Kenneth Warren (Judy) Benbow both of New Castle; several step-grandchildren, step-great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Funeral Services for Wanda will be held Wednesday, July 17, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at Garden View Funeral Home, 10501 N. Indiana 3, Muncie, with Pastor Danny Hines officiating. Friends may call on Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
