Wanda Kay Saunders, 65, of Muncie, passed away on Tuesday, June 22, 2010 at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, IN. She was born on September 13, 1944 in Muncie to the late William and Bonnie (xx) Thornbro. On April 11, 1964 Wanda married her love, John Saunders, Sr. Wanda was a homemaker all of her life. She enjoyed crafts and loved to garden. But above all, she loved having her family and grandchildren around. Wanda is survived by her loving husband, John Saunders; their 4 children: John Saunders, Jr. (girlfriend, Dawn); Tom Saunders (wife, Lawanna); Joe Saunders (wife, Sherry); and Jimmy Saunders, Sr. (wife, Trudy); adopted son, Charles Rice; 14 grandchildren: Sheena (husband, Joe); Becky (husband, Mike); Crystal; Robert; J.C.; J.P.; Jimmy, Jr.; Brittany; Michael; Shannon; Clarissa; David; Braxton; and Ricky; 5 great-grandchildren: Madilynne; Joe, Jr.; Mileigh; Jazzalee; and Kaylee; sister, Linda Pardon (husband, William); 2 brothers: Bill Thornbro (wife, Janice); and Jimmy Thornbro; and several nieces and nephews. Wanda was preceded in death by her parents; grandson, Tommy; and great-grandson, Michael, Jr. Visitation will be on Monday, June 28, 2010 from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at Garden View Funeral Home, 10501 N. State Rd. 3, Muncie. The funeral service will follow at 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Gardens of Memory Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the donor''s choice.
