Wanda June Pankey, 92 of Eaton, died Thursday morning, December 22, 2016 at the Woodlands of Muncie. She was born July 8th, 1924 in Muncie, IN and was the daughter of the late Harris Roland & Grace (Cowan) Lephart.
Wanda had worked at Warner Gear during WWW II, and after the war she worked for Indiana Bell as an operator. She worked at Indiana Glass for fifteen years. Wanda was a member of Psi Iota XI Beta Theta Chapter, Forty Second Home Extension Club, Wednesday Afternoon Club, Women of the Moose Chapter 712 of Muncie, and Central Class of 42 Gals.
Wanda is survived by her two children; son, Daniel R. Pankey (Terri) of Arvada, CO, and daughter, Deborah Kay Rizzo of Muncie; two grandchildren Eric Pankey of Arvada, CO., and Sonya Rizzo Padgett of Eaton; two great-grandchildren, Loren Mansfield and Breanna Padgett both of Eaton. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Albert D. Pankey in 2003, and a great granddaughter Crystal Padgett.
A Memorial Service for Wanda will be held Saturday, January 14, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Garden View Funeral Home. Burial will be in Gardens of Memory Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the memorial service at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
