Wanda Mae (Savage) Walker, 94, of Muncie, passed away at 12:18 am, on June 18, 2026, at IU Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie. She was born in Muncie, Indiana, on October 28, 1931, to Paul T. and Dorothy V. (McKissick) Savage. She married Fred H. Walker on June 23, 1951, and he preceded her in death.
Wanda owned Kate’s Costumes and was co-owner of Starbright Bridal & Photography Studio. She also worked at Delco-Remy in Anderson for 38 years until her retirement in 1993. She was a member of Muncie Life Church and former member of Freewill Baptist Church in Dunkirk.
She was very active and was an avid competition skater well into her 80’s. She loved water skiing and swimming, camping, fishing, and amusement parks. She was also involved in the Muncie Music Jam at the Senior Citizen Center. Wanda was so loved and loved the Lord with all her heart.
Wanda is survived by her three daughters, Katie (Chester) Bell, Marilee (Michael) Bradshaw, and Christina Merrill; brother, Paul L. (Linda) Savage; sister, Carolyn S. (Mike) Williams; ten grandchildren, Tina, Amy, Vicki, Julie, Greg (Tammy) , Scott (Amanda), Tim (Bethany), David, Dusty, and Brad (Natalie); 21 great-grandchildren and five extended great-grandchildren; 30 + 4 on-the-way, great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Fred H. Walker; siblings, Robert, Barbara, Janet, and Wesley “Dink”; and grandchildren, Tina K. McDaniels, Dusty Gates, Harper Bell, and William Douglas.
The family will receive visitors from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, at Garden View Funeral Home, 10501 N. State Rd 3, Muncie, IN 47303.
A service will follow immediately at 1:00 pm at the funeral home.
Burial will take place at Gardens of Memory, Muncie.
