Waunetta Dossett Baker, 75, passed away, Friday, February 29, 2008, at Ball Memorial Hospital.
She was born June 15, 1932, in West Terre Haute, the daughter of Rufus and Edythe (Campbell) Dossett. She graduated from Muncie Central High School in 1950 and attended IU East in Richmond. While in Richmond she was a receptionist for Dr. Cabigas for six years and an operator for General Telephone.
Miss Baker was a member of Memorial Drive Wesleyan Church, she loved to paint, and loved spending time with her family. Surviving are her sister, Patricia Furney, Muncie; her nephews and nieces, Jerry Wayne Dossett, (wife, Vicky), Georgia, Cathy Frey, (husband, Rick), Muncie, Tim Furney, (wife, Jackie), Eaton, Tamara Furney and Cheryl Furney, both of Muncie; four great nieces; four great nephews; two great great nephews; and her dear and close friend, Dolores Smoot, Muncie.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Wayne Dossett; and her brother-in-law, Marvin Furney.
Services will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 4, 2008 at Parson Mortuary with Rev. Johnnie Blair officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory.
The family will receive friends from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. Monday or an hour prior to the services on Tuesday
