Wayne Allen Bruin, 62, of Melbourne, Florida, was born on August 3, 1951, and died peacefully on Thursday, October 31, 2013. A native of Muncie, Indiana and a graduate of Delta High School, Wayne owned and operated the Rustic Cabin cafeteria on Highway 3 in Royerton for many years. He then moved to Las Vegas, Nevada in the mid-1990's and later, in 2004, to Florida's Space Coast, east of Orlando. Wayne loved home cooking, cars and dogs. He is preceded in death by his father, Omer "Scoop" Bruin and his mother, Julia "Judy" Bruin. He is survived by his brother, Tom Bruin (sister-in-law, Lois), of Muncie, Indiana, his sister, Patricia Kabrich, of Las Vegas, Nevada, two nieces, a great niece, a great nephew, two aunts, an uncle, and several cousins and great friends. Calling hours will be Monday, November 4, 2013, at Garden View Funeral Home on Highway 3 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. The funeral will be Tuesday, November 5, 2013, at 1:00 p.m. at Garden View, with interment immediately following at Gardens of Memory.
