Wayne Albert Sanders, 91, of Muncie, IN passed away Saturday July 5, 2008 at the Golden Living Care Center. He was born April 2, 1917 in Mitchell, IN the son of John A. Sanders and Sarah (Gerkin) Sanders. He married Mary Louise (Garrison) Sanders on September 9, 1939 in Mitchell, IN who precedes him in death.
He graduated from Mitchell High School in 1935; retired from Warner Gear after 32 years of service, was a house painter, TV repairman and he worked for CCC''s, where he helped construct a lake and a parking garage at Spring Mill Park in Mitchell IN. He attended Northside Church of God Wayne leaves to cherish his memory three sons; Tom W. Sanders (wife Lynn), Fred A. Sanders (wife Donna) and David L. Sanders (wife Susan). Two daughters; Charlotte Fisher and Mary L. Johnson (husband Virgil). He had thirteen grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, both parents, and three sisters and three brothers Services will be Wednesday, July 9, 2008 at 2:30 p.m. at Garden View Funeral Home 10501 North State Road 3 Muncie, Indiana 47303. Rev. Jeff Veatch will officiate the service. Viewing will be on Wednesday July 9, 2008 from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Gardens of Memory Cemetery Muncie, IN.
