William F. Adams, 91, passed away November 8, 2023 at his home in Muncie surrounded by his children.
William was born October 19, 1932 in Lorretta, TN to Irvin Avis Adams and Gracie Adams.
He served in the United States Army from 1953 to 1955, then returned to Muncie where he met and married Martha Adams and they shared 35 years together before her passing in 1993.  William retired from General Motors after 33 years and he also owned and operated along with his son Mark, Adams Lawn Care from 1982 to 1996.
He moved to Double Springs, AL and spent 23 years there.  He married Jewell Adams there and after her passing he returned to Muncie in 2018.  While in Alabama, he was a member of the Winston County Baptist Association and a part of many mission trips.  Back in Indiana he attended Grace Baptist.
William is survived by his daughter Tamara Adams, sons Mark F. Adams (Margaret), Paul Adams (Denice Donavon), and Larry Peterson all of Muncie, step daughter Judy Hyre (Phillip) of Haleyville, AL, grandchildren, Mark F. Adams II (Tamilyn), Brandon Rigney, Haley Adams, Scott Peterson, Tony Peterson (Rose), David Donavon, Randy Lee, and 15 great grandchildren, one sister Wanda Crowder (Jim), brothers Glyn Adams, James Adams, George Adams (Ethilyn) and sister in law Diane Adams, and many nieces and nephews.
William was preceded in death by his parents, wife Martha, wife Jewell, brothers Arnold Adams and Bobby Adams, and daughter in law Peggy Peterson.
Services will be held at Garden View Funeral Home on Friday November 17, 2023 with a visitation to take place from 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM and funeral to take place at 1:00 PM with Pastor Rory Bond officiating.  Burial will take place at Gardens of Memory Cemetery with military honors to be performed by the Delaware County Honor Guard.
