William G. Atkin, age 38, of Muncie passed away on Friday September 20, 2013 at I.U. Health Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie. Born on October 26, 1974 in Lincoln, Nebraska, he was the son of Kenneth and Linda (Frame) Atkin. William was employed as a truck driver for 10 years with T.A. and also Carter Express Trucking. Some of his favorite hobbies include fishing, camping, cookouts, and just being with family. William also enjoyed working with the Boy Scouts and recently received leadership status.
Survivors include loving wife Tracie Atkin of Muncie; children Jayme Atkin of Illinois, Ashley Montoya of South Carolina, and Yolanda Montoya and Nicholas Horner both of Muncie; mother and step-father Linda (Quentin) Pettiford of Muncie; siblings Katherine(Steven) Turner, Michael Atkin, Robert Pettiford, Mareus Pettiford, and Emily Shively all of Muncie, Kenneth Atkin (girlfriend Tara North) of Lincoln, Nebraska, and William Joseph Pettiford (girlfriend Heather) of Ohio; several nieces and nephews.
William was preceded in death by his father Kenneth Atkin, uncle Allen Bybee, aunt Janet Forest, maternal grandmother Charlotte Painter, maternal grandfather Kenneth Frame, and paternal grandmother Jessie Bigley.
