William "Bill" E. Wright, age 65 of Muncie, IN passed away unexpectedly, January 19, 2013. He was born October 27, 1947 in Muncie, IN to Bill and Reva Wright. He was a dedicated father, grand-father, husband, and mentor to his family and friends.
Bill graduated from Yorktown High School with the Class of 1966. He joined the U.S. Army in 1966 and after serving in Korea as a Communications Specialists he was honorably discharged. He received the Basic Training ribbon, National Defense Services Medal and Good Conduct Medal. Bill enjoyed helping friends and neighbors with various home improvement projects. He, along with his wife, enjoyed showing their 1967 Buick Special as members of the Memory Lane Cruisers. Bill "known as Donut" worked for JUD Construction of Muncie, IN for 26 yrs.
He is survived by his wife Cheryl Ann Wright of Muncie, IN; daughters Christina A. Terry (MSgt Jessie Terry, USAF) of Niceville, FL and Stephanie D. Anthony (Tony Ohanis) of Indianapolis, IN; grandchildren Summer (Bobby) Church, Jonathan Terry, Jordan Wright, Breeanna Anthony, and Josh, Jeremy, Brodie, Skyler Ohanis; by his sister and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. Bill was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents and his best friend Misty.
Funeral Services for Bill will be held, Thursday, January 24th , 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at Garden View Funeral Home with Rev. Brenda Burnworth of Benson Chapel UMC of Covington, IN officiating. Burial will follow with Military Honors conducted by the Delaware County Honor Guard at Gardens of Memory Cemetery. Family and friends may call Wednesday evening from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Wounded Warriors Foundation and LifeStream Services with envelopes provided at the funeral home.
