William L. Foster, 82, of Yorktown, passed away, Thursday March 8th, 2018 after an extended illness. He was surrounded by his wife & family.
He was born April 1st, 1935, @St. Vincent Mercy Hospital in Elwood, IN to Dick & Eva Foster of Orestes.
He was a graduate of the class of 1953 from Alexandria Monroe High School, where he excelled in baseball, football & Basketball. He was a member of "the Fab 5" of the Alexandria Tigers.
Survivors include, his wife of 26 years, Wilma Foster, his five Children from his 1st marriage, Monty (Dee) Foster of OK, Mitchell (Karen) Foster,MD of Indianapolis, Misty Foster of Alexandria, Monique "Nikki" Foster (Fred) of Alexandria, Mike (Penny) Foster of Columbus, IN, two step-children, Ron (Lois) Cannon of Ft. Wayne & Pam Cannon of Muncie One sister, Jane Stanley of Alexandria, one brother, Larry (Anne) Foster of Anderson. He had 12 Grandchildren & 14 Great Grandchildren, & his special fur baby "Jasper".
He was a member of the Baptist Church. He retired after 40 yrs. of service from Colonial Bakery, Muncie. & a member of Teamsters Local #135. He served in the National Guard for 6 yrs. and was active during the Cuban Missile Crisis. He loved Notre Dame & IU football & basketball.
