William Harry Wade, 87 of Muncie, IN went to be with the Lord on Monday. December 19, 2006 at Ball Memorial Hospital. He was born May 31, 1919 in Muncie to the late Harry William and Jessie Helen (Franks) Wade.
Mr. Wade was a member of the Delaware Athletic Hall of Fame for Golf. He was also a 3 time Delaware County District Champion. William also attended Jackson Park Baptist Church. He retired from the Ball Corporation in 1984 after 47 years of loyal service.
Mr. Wade is survived by his wife, Rosalie Wade of Muncie; one son, Gary W. Wade of Muncie; two daughters, Willetta Glaser (husband - Jay) of Grand Haven, MI and Beverly Patterson (husband - Jim) of Muncie; one brother, Ralph Wade of Muncie; five grandchildren, Tammy White (husband - Todd), Jeff Glaser (wife - Angie), Randy White and special friend Heather Mastenbrook, Lora Davis (husband - Jeff), and Leslie Wade; and several great-grandchildren. Mr. Wade was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, Betty Jean Brophy, Mable M. Rosenbaum, and Mildred M. Jordan.
Service will be Friday, December 22, 2006 at Garden View Funeral Home, 10501 North State Road 3, Muncie, IN with Pastor Steven Dugger and Pastor Carl Stone officiating. Friends may call from 5:00 - 8:00 PM on Thursday, December 21, 2006 at the funeral home.
In Lieu of flowers contributions can be made in Mr. Wade`s memory to the American Heart Association or to the Jackson Park Baptist Church. Envelopes will be provided at the funeral home.
