William G. Holloway, 78, of Hartford City, IN died Saturday January 3, 2009 at Heritage Pointe in Warren, IN. He was born on April 19, 1930 in Marion, IN the son of Clyde D. and Esther (Fuller) Holloway. He graduated from Roll High School in 1948 as valedictorian and served in the U.S. Army from 1953-1955. On August 5, 1951 at the Bethel Church in Muncie, IN he married Betty Irene (Lantz) Holloway who preceded him in death in 1994.
He was a life long resident of Blackford County, IN. He was an active member of the Farrville Community Church where he could be found whenever the doors were open. His life revolved around faith, family, farming, and home.
Surviving relatives include two sons, Jeff Holloway (wife: Johnna) of Hartford City, IN; Joe Holloway (wife: Pam) of Carmel, IN; two sisters, Helen Knapp of Sarasota, FL; Betty Dobson of Atlanta, GA; four grandchildren, Misti Birky (husband: David) of St. Pete, FL; Dustin Holloway (wife: Kayla) of Carmel, IN; Brooks Holloway (wife: Courtney) of Gas City, IN; Brandee Holloway of Muncie, IN; and one great-granddaughter, Lilly Holloway.
He was preceded in death by his wife Betty, one infant son Doug; one infant daughter Karen Sue, two brothers Jim and John Holloway.
Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday January 10, 2009 at Farrville Community Church 11044 E. 200 N. Marion, IN. Pastor Dan Metz will officiate the service. Burial will be in the Hartford City Cemetery in Hartford City, IN. Visitation will be on Saturday at the church from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Memorial contributions can be made to the Farrville Community Church Missions.
