William Lester Hutson, 91, passed away Thursday, April 14, 2011 at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital. Bill was born on November 3, 1919 in Richmond, IN to the late Lester Pete and Bessie (Mains) Hutson. Bill married his love Edith Naomi Pat'' Heaton on February 5, 1939 in Kentucky.
Bill was employed with Ball Brothers for 4 years. He then joined Borg Warner working on the assembly line for 32 years, retiring at the age of 55. Bill enjoyed hunting, fishing, nature, flowers, and tending to the yard at his lake cottage. Bill was a Mason. He was always willing to lend a hand to others and never knew a stranger. Bill also loved to spend time with his children, grandchildren, and friends.
Bill is survived by his loving wife Pat of 72 years; their children: Sandy Vickrey (husband, John) of Fort Wayne; Randy Hutson (wife, Bonnie) of Springport; Cathie Stanley of Fremont; and William Hutson of Muncie; brother Jack Hutson (wife, Fannie) of Wheeling; two sisters: Irene Harris of Fremont and Pat Kissick of New Castle; 7 grandsons; 2 step-granddaughters; 11 great-grandchildren; 4 step-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents; 3 brothers; 3 sisters; and a step-grandson.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, April 19, 2011 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Garden View Funeral Home, 10501 N. State Rd. 3, Muncie. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Mark O''Brien officiating. Burial will be in Gardens of Memory Cemetery.
