William (Bill) J. Simpson, Sr. of Muncie, Indiana passed away at the age of 73 the afternoon of Saturday, June 5, 2021. He was born on March 24, 1948 in New Castle, Indiana to the late Hershel L. and Dorothy Irene (Russell) Simpson.
Bill graduated in 1966 from Yorktown High School and worked at Duffy Tool and Stamping for 41 years until his retirement as Plant Manager in 2011. He was the most amazing, genuine, caring, and loving person you could ever meet. He enjoyed helping others and always put others' needs in front of his own. Bill is survived by his son, William (Rocky) J. Simpson (Leisa) of Muncie, Indiana; one grandson, Chad Mills of Muncie, Indiana; one granddaughter, Holli Sanchez (David) of Aurora, Indiana; three great grandchildren, Haylei Little, Jakob Sanchez, and Adriana Sanchez, all of Aurora, Indiana; one sister, Julia Vold (Dale) of Muncie, Indiana; two nieces, Amy Grubbs (Mike) and Staci Neal; and many great nieces and nephews.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Hershel L. and Dorothy Irene (Russell) Simpson.
To celebrate Bill's legacy, please join the family at a Celebration of Life on Sunday, June 13, 2021 at 1:00 PM at his sister's home located at 5808 W. River Road, Muncie, Indiana.
