William "Bill" Fowler, 91, of Muncie, passed away, at 6:00 am, on February 21, 2026, at Indiana University Ball Memorial Hospital. He was born in Jamestown, Tennessee, on November 18,1934, to Travis and Blanche (Tipton) Fowler. On December 23, 1956, he married Treva Wright, and she survives him.
Bill served in the United States Army from 1957 to 1959 and was honorably discharged. He later worked for BorgWarner in heat treatment for over 45 years until his retirement in 1998.
Bill was a 50 year member of True Light Baptist Church, where he served as trustee and also was a church bus driver. He was the owner of Mount Pleasant Campground and enjoyed fishing, the outdoors, and sitting around a campfire. Bill will be remembered as a giving man, who always made sure people were taken care of and you wouldn't go hungry.
He is survived by his loving wife, Treva Fowler; children, Billie (Jimmie) Carter of Muncie, Paula Jo Richardson of Muncie, and Michael Fowler of Albany, Kentucky; grandchildren, Corey (Amber) Waller, Melissa (Ryan) Hammond, Kristen Carter, Taylor (Austin) Quinn, and Amanda (Jimmy) Coahran; great-grandchildren, Bristol Jo Quinn, Chloe (Brandon) Lacey, Luke Waller, Hannah (Grant) Pratt, Stella Hammond, Ainsley Hammond, Sydney Tomey, Kynsley Stone, Kaylyn (Gavin Noble) Coahran, and Trenton Coahran; great-great grandson, Brooks James Noble; and sister, Peggy Stephens.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his nine brothers and sisters.
The family will receive visitors from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Saturday, February 28, 2026, at Garden View Funeral Home, 10501 N. State Rd 3, Muncie, Indiana 47303.
A service celebrating Bill's life begin at 1:00 pm with Pastor Jason Trimble officiating.
Burial will take place at Gardens of Memory in Muncie.
