William Francis Wilber, 86 of Muncie died unexpectedly Friday morning, December 30, 2016 at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital. He was born April 21, 1930 in Haden, IN and was the son of the late Lawren & Matilda (Campfield) Wilber.
William retired from Delco Remy after 30 years of dedicated service. He loved watching the History Channel, American Pickers, and being with his family. William attended church at Foursquare Gospel Church.
William is survived by his wife Alberta (Robbins) Wilber of Muncie; his son Ben Wilber (Brenda) of Muncie; his daughter Jane Sparks (David) of Dayton, OH; three step-sons Bruce Thomas of Shelbyville, Steven Thomas (Beatrice) of Muncie, and Billy Reynolds of Muncie; three step-daughters Sheri Wadman of Muncie, Debra Lucas (Jim) and Cathy Hardwick (Mike) both of North Vernon. Several grandchildren and great grand-children also survive. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his former wife Miriam Joan (Bryant) Wilber; two sons Jimmy and William Wilber, and a sister Mary Jane Wilber.
Funeral Services for William will be held Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Garden View Funeral Home, with Pastor Warren Willie officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 4-8 p.m. on Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at the funeral home.
