Obituary

Wilma K. Cooper, 99, passed away Monday, July 27, 2009 after an extended illness.
She was employed for over 50 years with The Ball Family.
Granny as she was affectionately called, loved cooking for family and friends. She was a devoted member of Union Missionary Baptist Church, she served on The Mothers Board, W.A.U. and Senior Womens Ministry.
She leaves to cherish her memory, one sister, Helen Thomas; a special granddaughter, Carolyn Patterson (Matthew); two grandsons, Greg Allen Hodges and John R. Allen; a special great-grandson, Robert Lewis and care taker; eight Great grandchildren; special friends, Beverly Sims, Pastor W.J. Jackson (Donna), Hurley Goodall (Fredine), Viola Richardson, Starr Bennett, J.K. Blair, Mareka Wright, Mabala Nyalgwe, Magnolia Oliver, Frank Ball, Marilyn Ball Heaton, Nancy Ball Ketty, Fred Ball, Robert Ball and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Cooper; her parents, Layfette Allen and Etta Ash; one son, Ovel Gene Allen; one grandson, Michael Eugene Allen; four brothers, Gail Allen, Marcus Allen, Klondike Allen and Wilbert Allen; two sisters, Leola Grimes and Glennis Williams.
Funeral services will be 12 p.m. Saturday, August 1, 2009 at Union Missionary Baptist Church. Pastor W.J. Jackson will be officiating.
Calling hours will be 11-12 p.m. Saturday, August 1, 2009 at Union Missionary Baptist Church.
Burial will be in Gardens of Memory Cemetery, 10703 N. State Rd 3, Muncie, IN.
